WATCH KAVANAUGH DESTROY HIS ACCUSERS IN BOMBSHELL TESTIMONY
Kavanaugh destroys his false accusers in epic opening statement
With determination, grit and tears, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh defiantly denied sexual assault allegations in a powerful speech which lasted at least 45 minutes.
Kavanaugh told senators that, regardless of the confirmation outcome, he and his family have been “totally and permanently destroyed” by the allegations which stemmed from a “calculated and orchestrated political hit.”
“I’ve never done this,” Kavanaugh said of the assault charges by Christine Blasey Ford. “It’s not who I am. I am innocent.”
The Supreme Court nominee also added that he won’t voluntarily withdraw from the process.
“I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process,” Kavanaugh said, adding that senators will have to vote him down.
“…This confirmation process has become a national disgrace,” he also stated. “The Constitution gives the Senate an important role in the confirmation process. But you have replaced advise and consent with search and destroy.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) echoed those sentiments when he blasted Senate Democrats for their handling of the allegations.
“If you wanted an FBI investigation, you could have come to us. What you want to do is destroy this guy’s life, hold this seat open, and hope you win in 2020,” he said. “This is the most unethical sham since I’ve been in politics. And if you wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn’t have done what you’ve done to this guy.”
“Boy, you all want power. God, I hope you never get it.”
“I hope the American people can see through this sham,” Graham added. “You [Senate Democrats] had no intention of protecting Dr. Ford. None.”
