Book Review: The Psychology of Totalitarianism

Hello Activists and Friends,

I loved Kevin Ryan's insightful review of Mattias Desmet's THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TOTALITARIANISM, so I wrote a response to it:

I read THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TOTALITARIANISM front cover to back cover. It is a very important book for learning about our own human nature, which has led to many historical atrocities--with the scapegoating of the unvaccinated nearly adding to this history.

Author Mattias Desmet's description of what happened in Stalin's USSR was particularly enlightening, wherein the masses, "hypnotized" and loyal to the "collective"--as opposed to their own and others' well-being--reached a crescendo of atrocities--actions of massive, wanton murder far worse than atrocities under the Czar. And actions that could easily be seen by an outsider as humans behaving in a psychotic-like trance--as well as actions reminiscent of a massive cult.

I highly recommend this book for those who want to learn more about human psychology and history and what has happened to people in this age of a coerced and massive vaccine drive.

I have one critique of Mattias' contribution to this scholarly study: Repressed and unhealed trauma, especially very early trauma, needs to be understood as a very important source of the "free-floating anxiety" that is the driving force underlying a mass formation. This opinion comes from my work as a psychotherapist who has specialized in regressive, experiential therapy. Happy to talk to you, Mattias, if you are inclined!

Thanks to Kevin Ryan for his insightful book review.  I will print it and keep it with my copy of the book.
