We at the Lawyers' Committee hope you and your loved ones are well during these most unusual times.

As a result of the roller coaster of events that have unfolded throughout the world the normal flow of activities for all of us have been altered.

The Lawyers' Committee is presently working on two major projects which will be launched in the near future, and is expecting a ruling shortly by a federal court judge on whether our Grand Jury Petition concerning explosions, incendiaries and controlled demolition used to destroy the World Trade Center Towers will be honored.

THREE IMPORTANT EVENTS ARE ABOUT TO HAPPEN:

1.A large scale Freedom of Information Campaign involving over twenty FOIAs will be sent to government agencies requesting documents which will be used in developing Grand Jury Petitions for all 9/11 related crimes scenes.

2. The Announcement of a new Grand Jury Petition which has been worked on for the past few months by the Lawyers' Committee concerning specific 9/11 crimes never properly investigated or prosecuted, and which will be presented to the United States Attorney later this Summer.

3.We are now waiting for a decision from a federal court judge regarding our Grand Jury Petition submitted to United States Attorney Berman in the Southern District of New York. We have asked the Judge for some indication that a Grand Jury regarding the evidence of explosives, incendiaries and controlled demolition used to destroy the World Trade Center Towers has been convened or to order the United States Attorney to present the evidence to the Grand Jury, if he has not already done so. The United States Attorney has filed papers saying that the co-plaintiffs have no standing.

The complaint filed on behalf of the co-plaintiffs by Mick Harrison, the Lawyers' Committee Litigation Director and co-counsel John O'Kelly and the motion to dismiss filed by the United States Attorney should be decided by the judge shortly, perhaps this month.

Making things even more interesting if not confusing is a directive for United States Attorney Berman to be removed as United States Attorney. The Lawyers' Committee has not yet discussed the significance of a new United States Attorney on the present lawsuit.

The film’s genesis came from a conversation between Lindelof and Cuse. They were musing on Pizzagate – a ridiculous conspiracy theory that went viral during the 2016 American election. It accused Bill and Hilary Clinton of running a paedophile ring from the basement of a pizza joint.

“Is there anything we wouldn’t believe about the ‘other side’, and them about us?” they asked each other.

A course in miracles day 106

Lesson 106

Let me be still and listen to the truth.

1 If you will lay aside the ego's voice, however loudly it may seem to call; if you will not accept its petty gifts which give you nothing that you really want; if you will listen with an open mind, which has not told you what salvation is; then you will hear the mighty Voice of truth, quiet in power, strong in stillness, and completely certain in its messages.

2 Listen, and hear your Father speak to you through His appointed Voice, Which silences the thunder of the meaningless and shows the way to peace to those who cannot see. Be still today and listen to the truth. Be not deceived by voices of the dead which tell you they have found the source of life and offer it to you for your belief. Attend them not, but listen to the truth.

3 Be not afraid today to circumvent the voices of the world; walk lightly past their meaningless persuasion. Hear them not. Be still today, and listen to the truth. Go past all things which do not speak of Him Who holds your happiness within His hand, held out to you in welcome and in love. Hear only Him today, and do not wait to reach Him longer. Hear one Voice today.

4 Today the promise of God's Word is kept. Hear and be silent. He would speak to you. He comes with miracles a thousand times as happy and as wonderful as those you ever dreamt or wished for in your dreams. His miracles are true. They will not fade when dreaming ends. They end the dream instead and last forever, for they come from God to His dear Son, whose other name is you.

5 Prepare yourself for miracles today. Today allow your Father's ancient pledge to you and all your brothers to be kept. Hear Him today, and listen to the Word which lifts the veil which lies upon the earth and wakes all those who sleep and cannot see. God calls to them through you. He needs your voice to speak to them, for who could reach God's Son except his Father calling through your Self?

6 Hear Him today, and offer Him your voice to speak to all the multitudes who wait to hear the Word that He will speak today. Be ready for salvation. It is here and will today be given unto you. And you will learn your function from the One Who chose it in your Father's Name for you.

7 Listen today, and you will hear a Voice Which will resound throughout the world through you. The Bringer of all miracles has need that you receive them first and thus become the joyous giver of what you received. Thus does salvation start and thus it ends; when everything is yours, and everything is given away, it will remain with you forever. And the L e s s o n has been learned.

8 Today we practice giving, not the way you understand it now, but as it is. The longer exercises should begin with this request for your enlightenment:

9 I will be still and listen to the truth.

What does it mean to give and to receive?

10 Ask and expect an answer. Your request is one whose answer has been waiting long to be received by you. It will begin the ministry for which you came and which will free the world from thinking giving is a way to lose. And so the world becomes ready to understand and to receive.

11 Be still and listen to the truth today. For each five minutes spent in listening, a thousand minds are opened to the truth. And they will hear the holy Word you hear. And when the hour is past, you will again release a thousand more who pause to ask that truth be given them along with you.

12 Today the holy Word of God is kept through your receiving it to give away, so you can teach the world what giving means by listening and learning it of Him. Do not forget today to reinforce your choice to hear and to receive the Word by this reminder, given to yourself as often as is possible today:

13 Let me be still and listen to the truth.

I am the messenger of God today.

My voice is His, to give what I receive.

Why most people will not be millionaires

Most people will not become millionaires.

Sad reality but true…

Frankly speaking, most people do not have what it takes to become millionaires.

Here’s why:

1. Lack of Purpose

The majority of people in the world lack purpose. What this means is that most people don’t really know why they exist.

The most important question is not HOW TO BECOME A MILLIONAIRE but WHY YOU SHOULD BECOME A MILLIONAIRE.

Many millionaires didn’t just start off following selfish interests and goals to buy luxury cars and expensive homes. They had bigger purposes and goals to uplift the lives of their families and communities.

2. Lack of Ambition

Ambition is the fuel that drives purpose, therefore if you lack purpose then you will automatically lack ambition.

As such the majority of people in the world lack ambition. Lack of ambition means you cannot grow inwardly and outwardly as a person.

Many people who conquered the world such as Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar and Napoleon, all had great burning ambitions.

This is the same for people who became great athletes, boxing champions and millionaires.

3. Procrastination

Procrastination is the failure to take positive action.

Procrastination is perhaps the greatest enemy of success and as such, the greatest roadblock to becoming a millionaire.

Most people just drift by in life, without any particular purpose or direction. They spend many hours just drooling and daydreaming and doing nothing.

As a result they end up becoming poor.

4. Lack of Discipline

Lack of discipline is perhaps one the greatest hindrances to financial success.

The world is full of failures who simply lacked financial discipline and proper planning.

There’s no such thing as an accident. Every failure is a result of an error in human judgment.

Opportunities and chance come to everyone, although not at the same time but they really do, and when they come, lack of vision, financial discipline and unpreparedness greatly undermines financial success.

For example, Mike Tyson made a neat fortune in boxing during his hey days.

However, due to lack of financial discipline (about that later) and a millionaire mindset he squandered it all through reckless living.

5. Lack of Patience

Most people simply do not have the patience to become millionaires.

Consider when you plant a seed in the ground, you probably don’t understand how the seed germinates a few days or weeks later. Neither does it help by checking the progress each and every day.

But a few weeks later when you check it, you’ll find that the buds have shot up and the plant is beginning to grow. A few more weeks and it becomes a big plant. All this takes some work, time and a process.

This is where patience comes to play.

Seed is the raw material you put into the soil and work is the time and effort you invest. Process is what takes effect without your interference. It is beyond your control.

Most people would probably want to plant a seed and eat its fruit the following morning.

6. Lack of Focus

The successful warrior is the average man with laser-like focus

Perhaps the greatest hindrance to financial success is lack of focus. Most millionaires I know are highly focused individuals.

Chinese billionaire and Chairman of the Alibaba Group, Jack Ma, often says that he gets about 5,000 new business ideas every day. Unfortunately, he is forced to turn them all down preferring to remain focused on delivering quality service to the millions of customers and suppliers who visit his online stores daily.

7. Hard vs Smart Work

Most people will not become millionaires because they never learned how to work smart.

You have heard it said that hard work pays off. I would say that smart work pays off.

In the 19th century, it took about 30 years to become rich.

In the 20th century, it took less than twenty years to become rich.

in the 21st century, it takes as little as six months to become rich.

All this depends on the smart implementation of a simple law called leverage.

Millionaires learn how to leverage other people’s time.

Millionaires learn how to leverage other people’s money.

Millionaires learn how to leverage other people’s skills and talents.

Millionaires learn how to leverage machines and automation.

8. Life-Long Learning

For most people, learning stops as soon as they graduate college or university.

Although continuous learning is a lifestyle, most people will never learn anything new to improve their lives.

For example, a computer comes with default settings from the manufacturer’s assembly line. We hardly use the computer before customizing it with our own settings and preferences, most of which involves installing custom software.

Humans have many similarities to a computer but we rarely realize it. As such most people will never learn new ways to improve their lifestyles and financial well being.

9. Lack of Consistency

Most people will not become millionaires because they lack consistency.

Most millionaires and billionaires I know implemented just one business idea or product, and remained faithful and consistent with it for a long time.

Coca-Cola is remarkably one of the most consistent brands in the world. Known for its consistent advertising campaigns that often change, the general themes expressed in the ads do not. Coca-Cola is known for reinforcing the ideas of happiness, togetherness and refreshment in ads across the globe.

During its 132-year history, this strategy has heavily paid off bringing a lot of money to its investors. How many companies last that long?

10. Millionaire Mindset

The biggest difference between the rich and average people is not found in their education, luck, skills, or choice of investments — it's found in their mindset.

Mindset defines how you think, speak and act. It defines your vocabulary.

Frankly, most people do not have the mindset of a millionaire. The most difficult project on earth is not to earn a PhD degree, but to change your mindset.

Most people have a lot of money but still have the poverty mentality. This is true when you consider that many people win large sums of money through lotteries but lose it all after only a couple of years.

The poverty mentality is taught through our social and education system by our parents, peers, schools and the job market. In fact our education system still uses the 19th century education model which was to provide the labour market with qualified staff.

That’s why most people still look for jobs after graduating college, instead of chasing the entrepreneurship dream, which although laden with risk, gives you the greatest opportunity to become a millionaire.

A millionaire mindset is the ability to make a million dollars even after losing a million dollars. In other words, losing a million dollars is nothing compared to losing your millionaire mindset.

11. Fear of Failure

The greatest roadblock holding most people back from becoming rich is FEAR.

The process of building and acquiring wealth feels out of reach and impossible to most people.

When we were kids, most of us liked to take big risks and as such we learned how to crawl, how to walk, how to run and finally how to ride a bicycle. As a kid brimming with faith, I can vividly remember how I used to believe that one day I would become rich and eliminate all our family’s financial problems.

However, as we grew older, we began to listen to a barrage of constant voices from adults warning us that we shall fall if we try this, or we shall fail and get embarrassed if we try that and so on. Gradually, we lost our inner courage and eventually, we completely replaced our courage with fear.

Life is about taking risks, but the risks must be calculated. Learning how to analyze, calculate, manage and take calculated risk is a common trait many millionaires have.

I think it is safe to say that because most people fear to fail they will never become millionaires.

12. Fear of Success

Believe it or not, most people fear success as much as they fear failure. As such most people are afraid of becoming millionaires.

I recently read with shock, an article on Insider, about a Texas engineer who fears that she’s earning a lot of money.

Convinced that she was unable to manage all the money, she approached a financial consultant for advice. She also requested the consultant to manage the money on her behalf and recommend good ways to invest her money.

The financial consultant recommended a financial plan that included maxing her 401(k) and savings, investments, giving to charity, tax plans and a host of other ways to ensure a comfortable retirement.

Chrometophobia (intense fear of money) is a common condition with most people. Nobody knows exactly why this happens, but it is commonly believed that the condition has something to do with upbringing.

Most people are brought up in an environment of lack of money, therefore they believe that money is associated with evil. The condition doesn’t go away even when we become adults, because by then our minds are already conditioned.

This affects our spending habits and our ability to become rich, which makes it difficult to save any money for the future. This happens because we are subconsciously trying to get rid of this ‘perceived’ evil called “money”.

13. ‘Shiny’ Object Syndrome

Most people will not become millionaires because they suffer from the ‘shiny’ object syndrome. Like a small child chasing after shiny objects, everyone suffers from the shiny object syndrome - a major distraction on the road to success.

Most people believe that to become a millionaire one needs to have that one lucky break like winning a lottery or stumbling upon a secret formula. In fact most people believe that the millionaire trait is something you’re born with.

What a myth!

According to Forbes, 80% of the world’s richest people in 2017 were self-made meaning that only 20% inherited their wealth. In fact 20% of those 80% are women.

14. Time Management

It has often been said that “Time is Money” and it is.

Most people will not even come near to becoming millionaires because they cannot manage their time.

There are only 24 hours in a single day and this is the only time available to each one of us.

We are obligated to spend 8 of those hours either working, going to school or attending college.

And we are mandated by nature to spend 8 of those hours sleeping. The remaining 8 hours are to be spent at our discretion. We can spend the time either on the couch watching television, movies, playing games or on a beer-drinking spree at the local pub.

The proliferation of social media has ensured that entertainment is brought into our bedroom.

Alternatively, we can also spend the time attending a business course or building a business that would one day make us millionaires.

The difference between the rich and the poor is decided on how we spend the discretionary 8 hours.

15. Bad Financial Model

Since most people shun financial education, they’ll never learn how to select the best financial vehicles.

As such most people opt to consult financial advisors because they never spent time learning about money, and how to identify the best investment vehicles.

Unaware that even these financial advisors need subsequent financial advice from other experts, they trust their money to these people who end up investing their hard-earned cash in slow investment vehicles that cannot even beat inflation.

The non-partisan truth about the racial unrest, police brutality, white privilege and institutional racism debates, and solutions for the USA - If it doesn't fit your narrative, too bad! The facts give zero craps about your mind traps!

Was thinking about what folks have been posting on FB recently and hacked out some thoughts: The Myth of White Privilege Societies are set up to naturally benefit the majority through a dominant culture and conventions. The further you step away from this centre the more difficult it becomes to function. Fringe cultures within society, even within an ethnic group, usually have trouble. Traditionally all peopled lived in isolated homogeneous groups. They developed separate languages and culture. Only recently have widely separated cultures become mixed up. The integration problems of minority groups within these mixed up cultures is not necessarily the fault of their neighbours. It's often, especially today, a function of wider circumstances - the decisions of past political leaders or, in some cases, of the immigrants themselves (their decision to move). One should likewise not harp on about the legacy of 'institutionalised racism' coming from the colonial era - that it 'permeates everything'. Times have changed. The policy and actions of past leaders is not the fault of ordinary good willed people living today. And institutions are open to everyone. In fact today's secular society is set up largely as a meritocracy. There is equality of opportunity for all. This truth is born out when you see people struggling against the odds from poor or minority backgrounds making it big in the world. The overriding issue is having poor social skills that stops you from integrating into the wider society and stops you from working hard to make your way. Even people that have poor communication skills, whether it comes from the fact that English is a second language, or through devolved neighbourhoods, can, with the right attitude, learn social skills/responsibility and achieve much (but they have to decide to, or be encouraged to, 'get their shit together'). Despite poor black and white areas in the USA, where the people struggle, individuals have risen above these circumstances. There are plenty of successful black people in the USA including President Obama, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, plus many sports stars and others, including in academia. If US society is still intrinsically and institutionally racist then how did these black people get so far? And why are Asian people the most affluent group in the general population? Asians succeed simply due to the fact they work hard because of a strong family network that encourages a robust work ethic. These key social skills help them go far. However, those that come from broken homes, like what we see most prominently in the black community, tend to have mental instabilities making it hard to focus on longer term goals. Being rich and white is not an indicator of racism either. The reason why the established rich 1% in the USA and the wider western world are white is because it is a legacy of the past when these countries were almost entirely white dominated. It is also a legacy of their longstanding networks. It is not a fault of the general population that this is true. and it doesn't mean the rich are intrinsically racist (although they could be described as elitist). Most importantly you don't find white Billionaires in China or India or Japan. Those rich folks came out of the general populations that literally built their countries (just as happened in the USA - slaves only contributed to southern agriculture for the most part). Where is the 'white privilege' in China or India or Japan? These societies were set up to benefit the majority and those that fall outside this sphere are naturally at a disadvantage. The idea of racist white privilege is a political construct. It is rooted in identity politics and intersectionality - where social justice extremists flag any sort of disadvantage in a society as being something that needs to be ironed flat, a mindset akin to Pol Pot's rule in Cambodia. Compounding this social justice mindset is often a victim/siege mentality, feelings of inadequacy, and a misunderstood perception of injustice in the world (based on incomplete statist...

Lesson 105

God's peace and joy are mine.

1 God's peace and joy are yours. Today we will accept them, knowing they belong to us. And we will try to understand these gifts increase as we receive them. They are not like to the gifts the world can give, in which the giver loses as he gives the gift; the taker is the richer by his loss. These are not gifts, but bargains made with guilt.

2 The truly given gift entails no loss. It is impossible that one can gain because another loses. This implies a limit and an insufficiency. No gift is given thus. Such "gifts" are but a bid for a more valuable return—a loan with interest to be paid in full; a temporary lending, meant to be a pledge of debt to be repaid with more than was received by him who took the gift.

3 This strange distortion of what giving means pervades all levels of the world you see. It strips all meaning from the gifts you give and leaves you nothing in the ones you take. A major learning goal this course has set is to reverse your view of giving, so you can receive. For giving has become a source of fear, and so you would avoid the only means by which you can receive.

4 Accept God's peace and joy, and you will learn a different way of looking at a gift. God's gifts will never lessen when they are given away. They but increase thereby. As Heaven's peace and joy intensify when you accept them as God's gift to you, so does the joy of your Creator grow when you accept His joy and peace as yours.

5 True giving is creation. It extends the limitless to the unlimited, eternity to timelessness, and love unto itself. It adds to all that is complete already, not in simple terms of adding more, for that implies that it was less before. It adds by letting what cannot contain itself fulfill its aim of giving everything it has away, securing it forever for itself.

6 Today accept God's peace and joy as yours. Let Him complete Himself as He defines completion. You will understand that what completes Him must complete His Son as well. He cannot give through loss. No more can you. Receive His gift of joy and peace today, and He will thank you for your gift to Him.

7 Today our practice periods will start a little differently. Begin today by thinking of those brothers who have been denied by you the peace and joy that are their right under the equal laws of God. Here you denied them to yourself. And here you must return to claim them as your own. Think of your "enemies" a little while, and tell each one as he occurs to you:

8 My brother, peace and joy I offer you,

That I may have God's peace and joy as mine.

9 Thus you prepare yourself to recognize God's gifts to you and let your mind be free of all that would prevent success today. Now are you ready to accept the gift of peace and joy which God has given you. Now are you ready to experience the joy and peace you have denied yourself. Now you can say, "God's peace and joy are mine," for you have given what you would receive.

10 You must succeed today if you prepare your mind as we suggest, for you have let all bars to peace and joy be lifted up, and what is yours can come to you at last. So tell yourself "God's peace and joy are mine," and close your eyes a while, and let His Voice assure you that the words you speak are true.

11 Spend your five minutes thus with Him each time you can today, but do not think that less is worthless when you cannot give Him more. At least remember hourly to say the words which call on Him to give you what He wills to give and wills you to receive.

12 Determine not to interfere today with what He wills. And if a brother seems to tempt you to deny God's gift to him, see it as but another chance to let yourself receive the gifts of God as yours. Then bless your brother thankfully, and say:

13 My brother, peace and joy I offer you,

That I may have God's peace and joy as mine.

Back in middle school I got my first girlfriend and spoke to my Aunt about her. The first question asked: "What color is she?" I'm black, she was Cuban. What was the response from my aunt? With the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful and legitimate protests have been hijacked by violent radical elements. Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate, violent, and extremist agenda.

It is time to stop watching the violence and to confront and stop it. The continued violence and destruction of property endangers the lives and livelihoods of others, and interferes with the rights of peaceful protestors, as well as all other citizens.

It also undercuts the urgent work that needs to be done – through constructive engagement between affected communities and law enforcement leaders – to address legitimate grievances. Preventing reconciliation and driving us apart is the goal of these radical groups, and we cannot let them succeed.

It is the responsibility of state and local leaders to ensure that adequate law enforcement resources, including the National Guard where necessary, are deployed on the streets to reestablish law and order. We saw this finally happen in Minneapolis last night, and it worked.

Federal law enforcement actions will be directed at apprehending and charging the violent radical agitators who have hijacked peaceful protest and are engaged in violations of federal law.

To identify criminal organizers and instigators, and to coordinate federal resources with our state and local partners, federal law enforcement is using our existing network of 56 regional FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF).
