Today was the day the NFL died. Those over-privileged multi-millionaires seem to have forgotten who pays them. They THINK that the team owners and sponsors pay them, but it is We the People who pay them. We pay them by watching their games on TV and listening to the sponsors. We pay them by buying tickets to the games, buying the $10 beer and over-priced food.
No more.
Target thought they could thumb their noses at the People in general when they went completely against the grain and opened their transgender bathrooms. They felt they were above the People and there wouldn't be any consequences for their actions. Starbucks thought it would be perfectly acceptable to insult active duty military and veterans alike. They didn't believe in the People or that there would be any consequences. Both of them have now felt the sting of the Will of the People.
Now is the time, here is the place that we once again demonstrate that we do not accept the actions of those few performers who think they need to protest in such fashion. As of today, I for one, will be boycotting the entire NFL. There will NOT be a game watched or listened to in my home until such time as the league makes it a rule that all performers, I mean players, stand on the sideline (not hide in the locker room) with their right hands on their hearts and their helmets in their left hands - and that anyone capable of standing, but choosing not to, will be immediately suspended, fined and potentially kicked out of the NFL.

Let’s start with the question of fatal violence. Last year, according to the Washington Post’s tally, just 16 unarmed black men, out of a population of more than 20 million, were killed by the police. The year before, the number was 36. These figures are likely close to the number of black men struck by lightning in a given year, considering that happens to about 300 Americans annually and black men are 7 percent of the population. And they include cases where the shooting was justified, even if the person killed was unarmed.

In 2015, The Washington Post launched a real-time database to track fatal police shootings, and the project continues this year. As of Sunday, 1,502 people have been shot and killed by on-duty police officers since Jan. 1, 2015. Of them, 732 were white, and 381 were black (and 382 were of another or unknown race).But as data scientists and policing experts often note, comparing how many or how often white people are killed by police to how many or how often black people are killed by the police is statistically dubious unless you first adjust for population.
But it's not dubious when crime statistics are factored in, which the article begrudgingly admits are off kilter. The very statics used also explain why unarmed black men are being shot at higher rates than unarmed whites, although the author fails to see this. Instead it is argued that since, according to one study, these higher numbers of unarmed shootings do not correspond to high-crime areas, that there is an "implicit bias" going on. Generally speaking, I think the obvious implicit bias to police officers, is not race, but rather that they are aware of the crime statistics. The truth is in the numbers, everything else in this article, as Colin Flaherty so often points out, is just an example of "how reporters and public officials are in denial, deceit, and delusion about black criminality so wildly out of proportion."

But it is true that a disproportionate amount of murders and other violent crimes are committed by black Americans. Because detailed FBI data on crime can lag by several years, the most-cited statistics on this point refer to 2009 data.
According to that data, out of all violent crimes in which someone was charged, black Americans were charged with 62 percent of robberies, 57 percent of murders and 45 percent of assaults in the country’s 75 biggest counties — despite the fact that black Americans made up just 15 percent of the population in those places.
